Hello All. I have SME 5.6 running on a production server. After installing the updates I noticed FTP servise would not start. I narrowed it to two things. In the /etc/proftpd.conf file I must comment out the AllowChmod statement and add a ScoreboardFile /var/run/proftpd/scoreboard directive. Doing this "hack" gets things going, but occasionally (when it gets rebooted I think) it returns to the non functioning state. I then have to log back in and make the proftpd.conf changes, and recreate the scoreboard file.
I have searched the forums and not seen the exact same issue, I would speak lovingly of anyone who can offer some devine guidance.
