Verizon Dynamic DSL - are they blocking port 80
« on: February 09, 2004, 11:35:59 AM »
I setup a clients web files in the Primary iBay and can't get to it from the web.

I'm able to get to webmail no problem but I have it set for https:// not http:/

So I changed email to insecure - allowing http:// access and when I tried to get to it, I timed out.

I think they're blocking port 80 for business dynamic dsl in the Philadelphia area.  Anyone else having the same issue with Verizon?

Yes, they block port 80.  I get around it by using zoneedit.com to send all port 80 references to 8181 instead.  Then I use my firewall to forward them through at 80 again...
