OK. Our external users log onto their own ISP and then VPN to our internet gateway/router VPN endpoint (its actually a Linksys). This gives them access to our LAN here in the office.
Trouble is the SME only gives access to its shares if the user is on the local network - unless, of course, you added the network IP entry in local networks.
We used to get around this in v5.6 by adding the network 0.0.0.0. I know this gives access to all networks but we are using the SME as Server only and our network is secured.
Trouble is in v6.0, it does not allow you to enter 0.0.0.0. Any ideas how I get around this ?
Trouble is the incoming client could have any IP address - it depends where they are etc, which ISP etc.
