Topic: Adding local network of 0.0.0.0 (not working on v6.0)

I could do this on v5.6 but not on  V6.0.

Before you ask - yes, I know its not wise, but its complicated. We've got remote users VPNed in to our router etc. and usimg the SME as server only. For them to be able to access the server resources, they need to be a 'local network'.

Any ideas how I'd get around this? Basically, I want to allow people not on my local LAN to access resources. IP address could be anything (ISP assigned).

Like I said, this worked on v5.6 by adding 0.0.0.0 to local networks but this is disallowed in v6.0.

I was able to add 0.0.0.0 to my 6.0 final via server-manager.  Below is a text paste of what is on my server-manager panel

Local networks
Operation status report
Successfully added network 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 via router 10.10.10.20.

Your server will grant local access privileges to 4294967296 IP addresses in the range 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255.

Warning: the ProFTPd FTP server cannot handle this nonstandard subnet mask. The simpler specification 0.0.0. will be used instead.
 

   For security reasons, several services on your server are available only to your local network. However you can grant these local access privileges to additional networks by listing them below. Most installations should leave this list empty.

This worked for me, too, on the LAN at work (server only). It's necessary anywhere you don't control the network.
Like mrjhb3, I also added one subnet first, maybe that's why it worked. I removed it after.
