Topic: Dialing again and again

Our e-smith server is set up to dial out every hour.  The server will dial out make a connection send/recieve email and then hang up.  The problem is that it won't wait an hour to dial out again, but instead when it hangs up, it begins to dial out again.  I want to know how I can fix it so that it dials out every hour like I want it to instead of every minute.  Thanks, Dale.

I had a similar error not so long ago. My e-smith box was configured as SERVER&GATEWAY in a DIAL-UP connection to the internet. At one NT4.0 client I mismatched in the network-settings the IP address of the DNS server and the GATEWAY address ( 192.168.0.1 vs. 192.168.1.1 ).

I make the same problem, but when I search for resolution and I see that, my domain name is not equal for all network, I have 1 NT Server is the PDC and the e-smith is the gateway the problem is (for distraction) the domain name in the NT is not the same for e-smith, not a big diference but.... (domain.country in the NT, and home.domain.country on the e-smith). Maybe this help you.
