Correct Version of 6.0 and access to sever
« on: February 25, 2004, 07:21:18 AM »
Hi,
I downloaded the 6.0 iso from ibiblio which, according to the forum, is the latest version.
The server-manager looks different from the one in the screenshots. (Says "MITEL 6000").
When I login to the server-manager with "admin" I don't seem to be able to make changes.
Did I forget something or is there something wrong? :-o

Mitel 6000 is o.k. At the bottom of the right panel you should see  "Mitel Networks SME Server 6.0"

There are three ways of loggin in: the console (root, your password; admin, your pw) or the server-manager on http://yourserver/server-manager, admin, yourpw.

MAS 6000 is SME 6.  The change in names is simply a marketing effort by Mitel.

What do you mean "can't make any changes?"  Please be more specific.  This is like telling someone over the phone that you clicked something in windows and it didn't work...  Without knowing what was clicked and what the resulting dialogs/error messages were, it is impossible to determine "what" isn't working.

I am logging into Server-manager using the ADMIN user and it's password. Once I am logged in and I want to save a change I made, creating a user for example or changing e-mail server settings and press the "SAVE" button, it does not save the changes.
When I am logged in at the server and go in through the text browser, it does work. Any ideas?

Hm, there is another thread with someone having the exact same problem: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=21052.0. But i have, unfortunately, not the slightest idea. Except: must have something to do with permissions.

My sugestion: rerun the configuration ("configure this server...") and try setting a new password. Issue /sbin/signal-event postupgrade, signal-event reboot. Maybe that helps?
