Anyone read the review for SME Server in Linux format? 4 out of 10 the final score!
I'm no "Seasoned Linux Adminstrator" (only started seriously using Linux since suse 7), but I found it easy to install. Apart from getting the database to be seen by some web apps (works now), I've had no problems.
So what if the interface is non-standard? I see that as a security plus, and it stops people from assuming they know what they are doing.
Our community support is brill! My one and only problem was solved in hours.
I do agree that all the services included can lead to various attacks but its not that hard to lock them down.
