E-smith Email server in a DMZ

About to aquire a 24/7 ADSL connection for our network, I am currently planning to setup a DMZ alongside our current LAN.

                                                         DMZ (ourname.demon.co.uk)
                                                       /
Internet via ADSL --- Router -- Firewall
                                                       \
                                                         Internal Network (ourname.co.uk)

The current plan is to put an e-smith server in the DMZ to act as a public facing Email(POP/IMAP), Webmail(www) and FTP server. Our existing E-msith and NT4 servers would remain on the internal network.

Ideally I would like to use the server in the DMZ to collect mail from our ISP, an hold it prior to it being collected by the server on the internal network, however this is not a fixed requirement.

Next I would like to process the mail on the internal server, with that for our field sales staff being copied to the requisite sales support staff and forwarded to appropriate accounts on the DMZ server, the remaining mail being delivered to the appropriate accounts on the internal server.

Now here comes the tricky part, I would also like copies of outgoing Email sent by our field sales staff via Email/Webmail server in the DMZ to be automatically copied to to the requisite sales support staff on the Internal Server.

Here come the questions:

1, Has anybody any experience of configuring such a setup using E-smith.
2, Can is be done using standard E-smith installation, or will I have to manually edit the settings for qmail?

Thanx

Guy
