Topic: Setup question with wireless router Netgear MR814

I have trolled and searched this site for setup questions but can't seem find many.  Point me to the right place if I am wrong.

Anyway I am wanting to set up as follows:

SME Server
(2 NICs installed)

Netgear MR814
(wireless router with DHCP, NAT)
|
|
LAN
(Hardwire PC and wirless laptop)
*******************

So far I have been able to get the SME server to work and connect using PPPOE to my ISP (Earthlink in California) but cannot figure out how to configure the wireless router to get appropriate information from the SME server so the PC's on the lan can access the internet.

I think this is a simple problem for someone more experienced than I.

PS the router does have an option for setting up a "Default DMZ server".  Quote from router manual "Specifying a Default DMZ Server allows you to set up a computer or server that is available to anyone on the Internet for services that you haven't defined. There are security issues with doing this, so only do this if you're willing to risk open access. If you do not assign a Default DMZ Server, the router discards any undefined service request."

Right now SME Server is up and running in server only mode behind the router.  The router light is constantly flickering though indicating traffic between the router and the SME server which should not be happening I think.

ok so i was not using the forums properly

i solved the problem with a crossover cable

Now:

internet
|
XX.XX.XX.XX (static pppoe provided by isp)
sme server
192.168.1.1
|
crossover cable
|
netgear MR814 wireless router
|
pc's hardwired and wireless

Now my only problem is I cannot seem to manage the sme server from the lan

You should be using the IP of the server to access the server manager. Your setup should be like below.  In this situation, you would enter the lan IP of the server like so:  http://192.168.10.1/server-manager
This would get you to the server manager from the lan side.

Wireless router (wan side:  192.168.10.5)
    |           (lan side:  172.0.0.1)
    |
Wireless LAN
Hardwired LAN
