Adaptec AIC7902 SCSI driver load..
« on: March 24, 2004, 04:31:45 AM »
Hi all,

1. When cdrom booted it says no available hdd found.
2. When i skipped it says, you should select the driver
3. When i passed Anaconda runs an nothing happens.

Problem is system doesn't recognise my adaptec aic7902 scsci card and of course my both 2 scsi harddisks.

My question is;
How can i boot from floppy with a valid .img and continue to load from cdrom?

Please do not tell me about long stories
I am working around 6 hours on the computer and i am near to the end...

Just give me a point...
Thank you all
Notes:
I can get shell at ctrl+alt+f2. So how can i load adaptec from floppy and run the main config from cdrom again????
How???
2. Dı i need to make new adaptec supplied cdrom??
And how?

My Linux knowledge is good enough but i am totally strange to Redhat way  of doin...

Take care all..

Hmmm, did you bother to search the forums for your problem? I done a quick search for aic7902 and there's only two hits - your question and my solution. I've since updated the howto to include a link to download the modded boot.img file with support for Adaptec 7902 card. The howto and the link to download are here http://www.comnetel.com/bootdisk.htm
