we are using SME Server 6.0 as our internet gateway and proxy.It is configured in a P4 system. It is working fine. But now we need to configure it on another machine. so we have taken the backup of the old machine. it is about 36Mb size. now i want to restore it on a Xeon dual processor server machine. i installed SME server 6.0 on the new machine and given the restore option. it copied all files upto /etc/samba/smbpasswd. Then it is not showing any "Restore Complete" message. I waited for 3 hours and then I tried to logon the new server. it is showing all the files there but also showing a message that the restoring process was not completed and so the system will not work properly. i tried 3 times (once with smeserver 6.0.1)and result was same. why does this happen? how can i fix this problem?
