I have extensively searched these forums and the net and not found an answer to my problem. I had a 5.5 server and recently did a fresh installl of 6.0. I
had ircd-hybrid-7.0-0.rh73.1.fr.i386.rpm installed and functional on my 5.5 server. Install on 5.5 was very easy. Install the rpm, edit ircd.conf, start the server and it would accept connections. Not the case with 6.0. The rpm installed with no problems. The service starts with no problems. I see the proccess running. I can kill it and restart it. Netstat shows
port 6667 is listening on TCP.  I did the install as root. I dont think it is a permission problem as the service starts fine and it appears to be listening.  Any ideas? I did find another thread with similar problems but it didnt have a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do I need to add an entry in hosts.allow?

This appears in my messages log.
