I have a 6.0 which is not fetching mail properly. (details are below....)
1, how can I resolve the problem OR
2, how can I reinstall mail without other 'stuff'
TIA :pint: Rob

(It has exhibited 1 other problem - trying to reconfigure its server-type it dropped back to #:
eventually I was able to force a reconfigure and all was well again.
The fetchmail problem existed prior to and after that event).

Setting up multi-drop (as I have done in the past) I end up with a bad /etc/fetchmail script:
it is empty other than the e-smith header section!

I tried copying in (kludger that I am) lines from another fetchmail,
appropriately modified and it seems to fetch but not distibute.

The /var/log/qmail/current show a lot of
'delivery deferral: Uh-oh:_home_directory_is_writable._(#4.7.0)'
so I assume something is corrupt.

well setting it up as ETRN fetching seems to work!
Id still like to know why multi-drop doesnot
(I think multidrop may only work in private-server mode,
although the screen in server-manager is a bit ambiguous in this )

sorry to answer my own post!
