Topic: ftp enable but not working

Could someone help me figure out why the example in the manual
"An i-bay Used as Your Customer Download Site" doesn't work. My aim is to have an ibay (called dloads) that allows ftp from a browser.I've enabled ftp from the remote access but when I do a ftp://dloads@ftp.mydomain (which is what the manual says to do) I can't get in. The ibay is configured as in the manual in the section:
"14.8. An i-bay Used as Your Customer Download Site"

I'm using sme 6.0.1-01

To log on to an FTP site that requires a password in a capable browser, type the URL in this form

ftp://user:password@ftpserver/url-path

where user is your user name, ftpserver is the ftp server address, password is the password, and url-path is the directory to log in to.

note:
user _and_ password should be VALID
so in your example:

ftp://myvalidusername:validusersvalidpassword@yourvalidftpurl/

_or_

ftp://me:mypass@dload.homeftp.net/
(this guy has registered dload.homeftp.net and he will  transfer to his ftp root directory)
