Just tell me if it's possible or not...
Nothing is IM-possible .-)
...but (since the hd-arrangement is different) it's probably not "worth the effort".
ITS SO EASY TO SET UP A NEW RAID-SME ... being the main reason .-)
But if you want to do it yourself there is an easy checking procedure for you:
(1)Use that 2nd HD you have already bought and install a BRAND NEW SME ...
...now you see how that md0,md1,md2 setup looks like...
(2)THEN install & mount that current disk of yours and compare...
(3)If you feel you can "arrange things" - do it.
Note: Since the RAID system will work on one single disk
(the other is set on (defective) meanwhile)
you can fiddle without risk.
.. just change disks if you want to go back SAFE.
Going forward to getting RAIDed is also easy...
when the raid works with all your stuff
just partition&format that old disk like the raid-disk
and mirroring will start after a reboot.
