I am evaluating E-Smith and am specifically interested in the Mail server part of it.
Is there any way to set limits to the Mail server such as
1) Inbox or folder size limits per user,
2) Attachment size limits,
3) Some way of warning a user when these limits are nearly reached.
Also, I am interested to know how E-Smith compares as a mail server to Exchange. I know virtually nothing about MS Exchange. I know E-Smith at least has the Web Mail which is one neat feature. Why do IT departments go for Exchange when only an IMAP server is required? What is the attraction if no one is asking for calender and other functions? Can someone give me a (fair and reasonable) point by point comparision so I can at least be taken seriously for suggesting E-Smith as an alternative.
