Topic: web browser access (upload and download) to smb shares

I've just setup davenport on my sme.  It seams like a interesting project to provide web file access to the sme.

The instructions:

cd /opt

get jboss from:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jboss/jboss-3.2.3.tgz?download

extract it into the /opt directory

get j2sdk from:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

extract into the /opt directory

get davenport from:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/davenport/davenport-0.9.8.tgz?download

extract it into the /opt directory

cp /opt/davenport-0.9.8/davenport.war /opt/jboss-3.2.3/server/default/deploy/

edit /opt/jboss-3.2.3/bin/run.conf - change JAVA_HOME variable to /opt/j2sdk1.4.2_04/

execute the run.sh script

on a windows desktop PC point your webbrowser at http://<smeserver>:8080/davenport/

select the share you are interested in, then click on the smb://<smeserver>/<share> link to drag and drop files into the share.
