Topic: Errors on restore on SME 6.01-01

I have an SME 6.0 box that I backed up, then installed SME 6.01-01, then restored my data back to it.  I received the following errors during the restore.  The first error was shown in server-manager, backup panel, when I went to reboot this box.  The other errors were in the messages log.

The server came back up and the web pages work, I can see my data, but when I go to access it, I get access denied when trying to look at/use it.  I would like someone else to test this if you can.  I have done this 3 times and always see the same errors.  I am a little concerned that a server crash, then rebuild, then restore of data, may still render the server inoperable.  If someone else can confirm this, I will log a bug report.  I have not done a 6.01-01 backup and restore yet.  I will do this after fighting this potential bug.

In my rush, I left out a vital detail.  After the restore, then reboot, you can no longer log into server-manager.  You can log in as root on the console, though.

Hi,

You need to check the permissions of the server manager. /etc/e-smith/web/ is where it is located. I vaguely remember running into this and had to reset
the permissions and user/group owner to root.

After this, Server-manager started working.

Make sure you double check the directory permissions as well.
