I have noticed that a few contribs have install.sh files in them.  and some even tell you to install using "install.sh"...

I have the mitel-update-system installed.  what method should i use for installing?

and, if i should use .sh,  how do i do this?

Ok...  i looked into this especially when awol wouldn't work.  always got:  "could not connect to db" message.

Instead of using the built in rpm installer from the /server-manager page.  Just navigate to where the .sh file is located.. ie:

cd /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/files/awol/

to check that the file is there, once you are at

"[root@yourserver awol]#"  type in "ls".

if its there. jsut type in:

"sh install.sh"

done.  once its done its thing.  type in:

http://myservername/awol

to set things up.  go to:

http://myservername/awol/admin/

really easy, but i think in this case, you have to use the install.sh file.

Anyone know how to password protect the /admin/ area?
