Topic: RSYNC automatic update? some questions about firewall.

Does anybody know how do i get new updates for my 6.0.1 (like windows automated update) ? I heard that there is rsync in sme server that can be used for update example. security holes etc.. So how can i use it?
Or does anybody know easier way to update my sme server 6.0.1?
Next question is how do i configure firewall in linux root? Does sme server install it automatically, if i set it up as webserver

Manually instal them for now, search here on yum and updates, also see a recent informative post (yesterday) re updates.

You don't normally need to be manually configuring the firewall.
If you configure your machine as a Gateway & Server then the firewall is automatically enabled and configured. The ports that are open or closed are determined by the various services and functionality you select in the initial configuration and in server manager. Unless required, the unused ports are closed by default.

You only need to manually adjust firewall (iptables) rules if you wish to do something that is out of the scope of the sme configuration screens.

Thanks for the help. I know that firewall is configured automatically, but i need to configure it. I need some open ports for my other computers etc.

ps. should i get antivirus program for my sme server? Even if i don´t use the mailserver option.
