Topic: Wap Mime Type Problems

Please help me

I have recently moved my server to e-smith from windows2k, before that i was running a chopped down version of suse linux.

I have 2 file types on my wap site of jar and jad- these files are for distributing mobile phone software.

However no matter what I change- (the mime.types the addtype in httpd.conf or even putting an .htaccess file in the directory)- apache just keeps on sending text/plain.

The two types are defined as:

text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor jad
application/java-archive jar

I did not have this problem with windows or suse linux before. They worked flawlessly.

How can I fix this? am I altering the wrong files- i tried doing it through templates aswell. Is this a bug? Im starting to lose my mind with this problem.

Im gonna move back to windows- this has tested my patience long enough- i may try e-mith again when it has become a little more stable.
