Hanging when starting Squid during boot

Hey,

I just installed e-smith 6.0 on a Compaq Proliant 2500. This server type has a complication during install with memory, linux only sees 32Mb base memory, with

accept = mem=exactmap mem=640K@0 mem=158M@1M

when booting from de install CD did the trick. Now the server is installed. I booted the first time and configurated the whole network with the wizard.

But now, when I boot the server tries to start Squid and hangs there. I don't need proxy, so it wouldn't be a problem just to turn it off. Any idea's how to?

Thanx ;)!

/sbin/e-smith/config setprop squid status disabled
/sbin/service squid stop

But i don't know how to make the changes permanent so it works after reboot. Anyone?

Install this contrib:

http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/dmay/mitel/contrib/e-smith-service-control/e-smith-service-control-1.1.0-06.noarch.rpm

and you can turn Squid off permanently.
