How to manage Samba and perform other maintenance?

I just got the server up and running in less than 20min! Great job. Only one question *yet* how do I manage the Samba server? I want to change the workgroup name from e-smith to my already named workgroup? Also - whatabout telnet in as root or su to do other maintenance?

SAMBA SERVER & TELNET:  Hi Tim, Thanks for the post. To get to a root prompt, type Ctrl-Alt-F3. Login as root and give whatever password you have set for the admin for your e-smith server and gateway (initially the password is "default" but you should change it first thing).   To change the SAMBA configuration, edit the file /etc/smb.conf.  Remember that the /etc/smb.conf file will be overwritten if you make any further changes from the e-smith console, so it may be a good idea to keep a backup of your modified version of the file. Good Luck!  Kim
