Internet access / squid / ip masq..

Hi,

Does it exist examples or newbie faqs somwhere about how to play with e-smith Internet access and sharing?  I'm new to linux and find that it would have been nice to have some points of departure (examples) of different basic configurations...

I have browsed these pages but I didn't find any examples...

Thanks for hints if there exists notes on this somewhere...

Hi,

Let's say that I have 6 computers numbered 192.168.1.11-16 connected to the e-smith manager.

The e-smith server is at 192.168.1.1
I want 192.168.1.11 and 192.168.1.12 to be able to access the Internet at any time, 192.168.1.13 should NOT having acces to the internet during office hours and the remaining IP addresses are denied access to the internet.

How would the sqiud custom template look like in this scenario?

How should I configure the client's web browser's Internet properties?

Also I have heard that it's possible to have e-smith dial and disconnect an Internet connection from a CGI script on a web. Where can I find information about installing this feature?

Thanks in advance for any info on these issues
