Local Networks Access to Website Problem
« on: July 09, 2004, 12:00:28 PM »
Hi, I have an urgent problem to solve, please help!!

Let me describe the background of my problem:

I am setting up a SME6.01 Server in "Server only" mode, acting as our corporate intranet website, within our company VPN.

The SME Server in Singapore is given 10.1.0.201 (255.255.255.0) IP address, I have no problem accesing it from any PCs (10.1.0.x, 255.255.255.0) within my LAN.

However, my users from Thailand (10.2.x.x) (255.255.0.0) and Australian (10.1.1.x)(255.255.255.0) Offices (All within the VPN) cannot access the website.  Typing in "10.1.0.201" into the internet browser will return nothing from these locations.

I believe either I have missed out some important settings or there is a bug in SME Server OS.

I need your help, I know many of you are able to help me, please help me....  greatly appreciated!

1 - Can you access any other service in SG from other sites? (can you ping your SMEServer from TH and AU)

2 - You can configure remote access to your SMEServer via Server Manager

If I am off track, pls be mopre specific when describing your case...

Best rgds, Ergin
