80GB HDD not accepted as boot drive (not a bios related)
« on: July 14, 2004, 02:08:09 AM »
hi there,

i just tried installing latest SME on a Fujitsu Siemens Server mit two 80GB IDE drives and with/without an IDE Raid controller.

But no matter if its one or two drives. After choosing a install on a single drive i am getting an access error on /tmp/hda. I tried the same using the onboard IDE, a Fastrak 100LP IDE Raid and a Dawicontrol PC-133 with no difference. Any install with any IDE drive with less than 80GB (i.e. i tried two 40GB drives also) works fine.

Imho this is not a BIOS related, i tried installing Fedora Core 1 without any probs.

Any hints, anyone?

best regards from South Germany
Anton
