This is not, nor is it intended to start a rant, but there seems to be a need to advise users to search the forums before posting a question.
If I remember correctly, when Mitel hosted e-smith, there was a notice at the top of the forums section that addressed this. It went something to the effect of
"The forum is here to post questions receive answers concerning e-smith. Your questions are welcome, but please search prior to posting as your question may have been previously addressed"
It would not hurt to have a reminder to include little things like which version of SME they are running, and any other appropriate info about the problem when they do post.
Would it be possible to do this in our forum? On the forum page there is a blank area above the category listing. You can not make people read it, but you could make it available.
