ProxyPass configuration images not working

ProxyPass configuration images not working

I have proxtpass set up to forward a test domain on a BlueQuartz server I am testing. test1.mydomain.com. I entered the domain using the virtual domain proxypass option. From the outside it forwards the BlueQuartz server fine and all txt shows up but all images are broken on the web page. If internally I type the ip of the BlueQuartz server the web page displays just fine with all images. So it is not that servers Apache or an error in the web page.

Can anyone help me.

Try to put that IP into the hosts file on your workstation and access it internally by name.

The second option to try (if first works) is to flash the Squid cache on the gateway (proxypass) server.

I hate to assume, so I will ask. Does the proxypass contrib work with sme 6.0.01? I looked at the doc, and it says 5.6 or < . I do not want to blow up my server, but I think I am going to need a way to pass some trafic to a second server.

Tested and it works on 6.x.
Make sure that you use dmc-mitel-proxypass-0.0.1-3.noarch.rpm updated by Abe Loveless. You may need to use it in the combination with hostnames and addresses menu to tell you SME server where your internal BlueQuartz server is.
Also latest dungog.net's virtual domain management contrib (for a small fee) offers "Web Redirect" feature that is partially does the same thing as proxypass.

I will give it all a try. I did buy all the dungog add-ons. But it was a few months ago. Will have to so if I have that one.

I found myself having the same problem with Gallery. All I did to fix it was to go into the gallery setup and make sure I had the gallery URL's pointing to my webserver and ibay NOT the local server.

IE: URL http://www.myserver.org/gallery/album, NOT http://localserver/gallery/album.

So make sure you have your local server reference any outside URL's to your webserver and not the local server...
