Hi,
I've got a setup where I have an 827H ADSL router connecting to the internet using PPPoA. The dialer interface has a static global address with a /32 mask and E0 has a global static IP address with a /29 mask. A number of hosts are then connected into this router and provide various services. One of them is an SME 6 server. I have it setup to port-forward three ports (80, 880 and 22) to internal services. For some reason this portforwarding fails. The issue is not with the ACLs on the Cisco router because other services on the linux box such as SMTP and IMAP work fine and it also fails when I try testing these services via Telnet from the router.
Strangely when I plug the Linux box into another 827H router which is configured for IPoA and has a private address on E0 it all works fine, it just seems to be the interplay between the two devices. I'm not particulary familiar with PPPoA normally using IPoA/EoA so any suggestions would be welcome.
