Lost PHP after upgrade. Configuration issue ?
« on: September 08, 2004, 04:05:13 PM »
Hello !

I first made a upgrade of the php according to a .sh script i found here on the board. I did not notice it was any problem with this upgrade.

I then performed a kernel upgrade to .26 according to a how to I also found here.

Also the kernel upgrade went well.

But then, after the kernel upgrade I noticed that my php application did not work anymore. I then tried to reboot using the old standard kernel, but the problem were still the same - pages with php shows anly as "empty white".

I guess it could be a configuration issue. .html pages shows as normal. .php pages don't show at all. Any ideas ?

For your info:

I rebooted from installation CD and choosed "upgrade".

(Even though this was the same CD I used for the orginal installation.)

This removed the PHP mod but not the kernel upgrade.

The PC now runs with the orginal PHP rpm and the new .26 kernel from mr Sleepy. Seems to be working ok.

I did not know that "upgrade" also means "repair", but this just seems to be the case for the SME server, at least int this case.
