Topic: SMTP Authentication

Hi all

I would like to send e-mails from all locations through my SME Server without having to establish a VPN Tunnel.

For this i would need to have some kind of SMTP authentication with username and password.


Does anybody know how to do this?

Using my SME 6 I tried using the Pagefault setup.  I received this error message

6.0.1 is needed by e-smith-securemail-6.0.1

I then upgraded the complete server to the new Contribs version and tried again with the same result.  Can you tell me which items I need to upgrade for this to work, or is there another set of RPMs out there?

Have you installed this upgrade to your new 6.0.1 server?

When I tried to run the SMTP authentication I got this message

Is there another update I need to apply?

Try
rpm -Uvh *.rpm instead.  Worked for me.

I can't seem to get M$ Outlook to connect properly though? Anyone got a howto?
