Topic: Network access very slow : hardware in fault ?

Hello,

I have Windows 2000 professional edition on my workstations and I use SME server 5.6 to access to Internet and provide LAN services.

When I access to files by the Network way (not by HTTP, FTP or other), tranfers are very very slow. So, I need 45 minutes to tranfer 56Mb of data wich are few big Zip files...

 

My worstations use Intel based chip NIC (Network Interface Card) and my SME server uses RTL8139-C NIC.

If not, what can I do, try ?
