« on: August 27, 2004, 05:47:41 PM »
Hi all.
I have bought an d-link dvg-1120S, is is an VOip gateway.
My problem is, that i put it first on the network

dvg-1120s > smeserver > clients

now, when i setup smeserver to opbtain wan addres with DHCP, i have no problems connecting to the internet. But then i configure the smeserver with the ip address, gateway that it got from the dvg 1120-s, so that it have a permanent IP on the network, and then i can forward port 25, 26 and 80 to the server.
Then i cannot connect to the internet.
Any suggestions?

2. question.

is there a command i can run on the smeserver, so that i can se the MAC-adress of the network cards?

ifconfig to get the mac address.

I would setup the sme in server only mode.
turn off dhcp on the router
then everything should work fine
               --- clients
dlink --> hub /_ _ sme in server only mode
              \_ _ other clients ...

thank you.
using ifconfig, i found the mac adress, and entered it in my d-link, and forwarded the needed ports to the smeserver.
now it works  :-D
