Topic: RBL screening not working

I feel like I am missing a setup step and it is driving me crazy.  The problem is the RBL checking seems to have stopped functioning.  Here are the specifics:

Last RBL listing in the smtp-qmail-current log was 8/30 at 11:54 AM

Software installation history:
Installed Swerts-Knudson Anti-virus
Ray Mitchel RBL How-To installed
Installed Swerts-Knudson Spam Filter
Installed Pagefault.org Anti-virus via yum to get panel

The above packages were installed incrementally over several weeks.  Proper operation for each was confirmed for a week or so before preceeding to the next package.  After the installation of the Pagefaults items, the operation of the RBL ceased.  I reinstalled all the above packages and rebooted the server serval times.

Checking message headers, Clamd and SpamAssassin appear to be working fine.  Messages are being scanned and headers are being tagged.  I just get no log reports of any RBL activity.

Swerts spam filter and RBL blocking (as per HOWTO) are probably conflicting with each other. There is enough information in the HOWTO to troubleshoot RBLList problems, have another read.

I did check and reread...without success..

I decided the install was broken so I just reloaded the system this evening.  Works like a charm now.

Swerts-Knudsen posted a couple of new install scripts with the panels included.  They are working wonderfully without any conflicts.  I really like the RBL screening...that is the only way to go.
