Topic: Internet drops out when browsing certain sites

Hi All

I have an intermittant and wierd problem with SME.

My config is Alcatel speedtouch pro with all traffic pumped straight thru to my SME server (defserver=10.0.0.1).

When browsing ebay.com.au and as of last night www.doshelp.com, the WAN (ETH0) drops out and the link light on the card starts steady flashing.

The only way to right the problem is to reboot the server, local LAN browsing remains OK. It is not the router, as I do not need to reset this.

Is the problem traffic from those sites, or some odd thing with SME??

I have swapped out the WAN (ETH0) card, the cat5 cable, swapped ports on the router and the switch (also sawpped the switch, athough it is on the LAN side), nothing seems to fix it, I can browse all other sites that I regularly use as well as sites I dont frequent...

What could be causing this anomoly?????  

This server is hosting a number of customers and I dont need this odd downtime....

to note: I have 2 x MDK Linux workstations, an XP desktop and an XP laptop, all OS's cause the same failure, switching off all but one workstation will also make it fall over (XP or MDK)
