Hello

I have been trying for hours to install SME-server 6.0 unsupported.
First I
downloaded the .iso and booted from CD. The installer started, and I answered what language and keyboard I want. Then the installer said that it cannot find the installation CD (even that this is what it booted from).
So I decided to
copy the .iso to my hard drive (c:). But now the CD couldn't boot any more. I burnt two new copies, but none of them could be read. I thought my CD reader must be corrupt, because it can't read burnt CDs well. I was wrong, one of my CDs was a rw, which I burnt a DOS Boot disk on after, and this worked.
So now I tried to
make my own floppys to install. First
boot.img, which I made with rawrite.exe that is on the sme-server cd (which I couldnt read from cd, I had to copy these files to my DOS Boot disk). I made the image on a formatted floppy. Then upon install, I directed it to install from the .iso image that is on my c: hard drive. After a few seconds it gives me this "exception":
Traceback (innermost last):
File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 634, in ? intf.run(id, dispatch, configFileData) ...
(it's a long message, i can write it all if it is really necessary)
It told me to do the checksum.
I did the checksum, it was correct.I also tried the
netboot floppy (which I made the same way as the boot.img using
netboot.img instead). It wanted the drivers which I copied to a floppy. I'm not sure how the installer wants the drivers, it couldn't handle a tar.gz or an uncompiled set of files which was in the archive. (you have to do makefile for the drivers to work, that is what the driver text file for linux drivers says.).
I want to install this OS, please, what can I do?
system:
Intel Pentium 200 mmx
160 MB RAM
ACORP-5TX32 VER.B (mb)
Tseng Labs ET6000/ET6100 PCI (gfx)
D-Link DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (rev. C)
SAMSUnG SCR-2030 JS102 (CD-ROM)
LG StudioWorks 76i (display)
Creative AWE64 16-bit Audio
Voodoo Graphics 3D Accelerator
(ps. I wonder how it can be possible that my cd-rom can't read the files on the sme-server installation CD. It worked maybe 1/30 tries, on all 3 copies I made, in DOS, or when trying to boot from them. In windows they usually worked. It can't be that the CDs are bad quality or corrupt, and the checksum is correct.)
