FTP server within the LAN

Greetings,

First off,  as most others seem to agree,  excellent product. I have never anjoyed setting up router/firewall in my life.  Anyhow on to my question. My e-smith server has a relatively small HD,  about 1 gig or so.  Now my main development machine has all my file,  graphics etc. on it.  I would like to be able to ftp into my main machine from work.  I assume this requires opening up a port on the e-smith box.  How does one accomplish this?
Thanks,  and a very merry christmas,
Steve

Hmmmmm,

For anyone interested I figured it out :-)  I was directed towards a tool called ipmasadm,  got the rpm,  installed it,  read the man page and was successfully able to open up a port and have the traffic redirected to a specified port on the inside network.  I realze this kinda opens up the firewall,  but hey,  most people w/ cable modem aren't even using any kinda firewall.  If you need help feel free to e-mail me at slinco01@providence.edu.  Cheers,
Steve
