I have a bit of a problem trying to reach my website that is hosted outside of my SME server. I want to use my server to host my mail, so when I set the server up I assigned it a domain name of xxx.com. But due to the fact that my webpages need coldfusion I have it hosted with a hosting company, and I can not access my website. Is there any way to forward web requests to the external website?

Thanks

Bob

What you need to do is go into the server-manager config area and find the "hostnames and addresses" section.

Then add the hostname you require

e.g www.xxx.com make sure the visibility is "global" and the address is set to a location of "remote" and then just type in the IP address of the server hosting the website (if you dont know this try just pinging it , even it it is firewalled off it should resolve the ip address for you)

Once the record has been added you shoudl be able to access your site from behind the SME server with no problems.
