Windows XP SP2/samba-2.2.12

Hi,

I'm having problems logging on with XP SP2 clients and have read the bugreport posted in the Bug Tracker. There's a samba version 2.2.12 om samba.org's site that fixes the problem. But there is no rpm which works with sme-server as I understand, because the version sme-server uses is a sligthly different version which enables "supervise" to take control of the smbd and nmbd-processes (it supports nmbd -S -F parameters).

There is a source patch on samba.org which makes those changes in the source code (as I understand). But to do that you need a machine with RedHat 7.3 installed and the knowledge how to compile a new "samba-2.2.12.rpm".

Has someone done that already? Or is someone willing to do that?

I would be endlessly happy if someone could help with this.
