I was thinking about suggestions for the wishlist that has been setup. I seem to remember a nagging question during the install process that might be useful to correct in the next release...
When setting up the dynamic dns client, if memory serves me correctly, this option appears only if you choose the PPOE path during the install process. If your server is behind a nat router (that does the PPOE login for you [suppose you have other servers on your dmz]), then you WOULD NOT normally choose the PPOE path during the install. Therefore, the ddclient setup functionality does not come up.
Is the above scenario correct (or have I forgotten something in the install process - it's been a while...)?
If the above is correct, would it make sense to suggest a mod to the install script to setup ddclient even if you don't choose the PPOE path during install?
Note - I already have this working. I'm just asking for confirmation before I put it on the wishlist with the other wishes... A penny for your thoughts?
