Port 80 access from Internet
« on: October 19, 2004, 07:37:42 PM »
I'm having a problem accessing my SME server on port 80 from the Internet.  I've setup an ibay and put some html in the html directory, but cannot get to it from the Internet.  I'm running in Server Gateway mode.  I've checked the server and it is listening on port 80, but I cannot telnet in from the Internet on that port.  I CAN telnet in from the private network though.  Is there a file that I can check to see why port 80 access is being denied from the Internet?  I looked at my iptables config, but it has a line for "ACCEPT"ing www.

Just at a guess, do you know if your ISP blocks port 80, as I know mine does.

To check this goto http://www.grc.com/default.htm and find the link to sheilds up.  This will tell you which ports on your network are opened or closed.
