Topic: upgrading php

i am running SME server 6 and i want to upgrade php to version 4.3.8 or later.

i tried some other threads but most of the links are dead.

does anyone know how?

Yeah.. it so happens that I ran into this awhile back and found this thread with an update script http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=23998.0

Some one in that thread also posted the contents of that script so you can recreate it if neccesary.

I still have the one that worked on my server.. It could be that the RPMs are not in those locations any more. You can always manually download the rpms listed in the script and just follow the steps the script lays out manualy.

I have seen mention of a contrib or howto for 4.3.9 but haven't gone looking for it.

I'm in the chat room if you want to give me your email so I can send you a copy of the script I used.

i used this http://ergin.dyndns.org/download/MySQL-4_0_21.sh script
