Wireless subnet?

Hi

I've been running SME 6.0 for some months, but am still pretty new to Linux (and networking in particular). We have 25 users on our LAN and have now set up another 15 users who will connect through a wireless link. Everything is set up from the cabling side, but the server hasn't recognised the wireless link or the new machines.

Do I have to treat the new computers as being on a subnet? If my server address is 192.168.244.1, are the wireless points given addresses in the range 192.168.xx.xx or 192.168.244.xx?

I don't know if I've included all the information that is needed and these questions may be very basic, but I'd really appreciate some pointers.

Thanks

Mike

Turns out that the two wireless transmitters were quite happy to operate in my network using the 192.168.244.x addresses, as well as the clients accessing the network through the wireless points.

Problem solved
