Clam-AV Installation Failure..
« on: November 02, 2004, 03:22:18 PM »
Fresh install of Clam-AV from the swerts-knudsen script.  I get the following error message.

Any suggestions??  I did install the dependancy rpms with the same results.

Thanks.

Clam-AV Installation Failure..

The current problem is that the primary site doesn't yet have the updated clam files.  The primary site still has the es02 files and not the es03 files needed for the install.  So, until Jesper moves them or until the sites sync up, just put a # in front of the primary and then run the script.  There will be an error about wget because of the remark in front of primary, but the files will download and you will be able to install the program.

Yes I did notice this and it should have been corrected now. First the contribs.org site wasn't sync'ed properly (still no FTP access) and then my own mirror site was sync'ed :-(

Both the antivirus and the spamfilter install script have been updated to use my own sites until contribs openes up for FTP again.

Rdgs,
Jesper

I am spinning a bit on this!

I had clamav-0.54-1dc.rpm & amavis-ng-0.1.4.1-01dc installed, so I rpm -e both these and the
perl_File_MMagic & perl_Config_Inifiles rpms that conflicted with your install.

at least the install seemed to work, but startmail gives the following error
SIGPIPE thrown from an MDA or a stream socket error
socket error while fetching from mail.isp.net
 Query status=2 (SOCKET)
terminated with signal 13

I seem to remember that some scripts were changed with the 'old' clam, but do not recall what.
I presume qmail is mixed up with the old still -
can I just reinstall some rpms clean from sme6.0?

any help would be MUCH appreciated
(oh and thanks thanks thanks to mondo rescue, which reinstalls ruined system sooooo easy)
TIA Rob
