SME and WAN Trafic control

Hey  :-)

We are planning to install a LAN among 60 flats, and there by we need some server software.

I’ve read about SME and I’m sure that it supports most needed facilities but:

I’m concerned that some users will eat up all WAN recourses, by transferring large amount of data, with multiple connections. It’s there by very important that these users get punished, when other users for a short period needs axes to the internet.

I can’t find any information about traffic control. Does SME support any kind of WAN traffic control?

Do a search for CBQ or QOS.  There is a lot of info on these subjects.

Hej Jeff

Weary good idea ;-)

Any way I clearly demonstrated that I didn’t knew what QoS was, so without your help the search had been some way more difficult ;-)

Newer less, I found a lot of good stuff in this place, so infact I think I’ll give SME a try on my own server.

Thanks again
