Website Generator
« on: December 16, 2004, 06:06:28 AM »
I am trying to install a program called Website Generator from http://www.freehostshop.com, but discovered that I had to make an adjustment to my httpd.conf file.

The program uses a directory called "files" which SME does not like. I had to remark out the files alias for that domain in httpd.conf in order to create and view the sample website the program creates. I know this is only a temporary change, because the system will reassemble the templates and undo my change. If I can get the program to work, I will adjust the template fragments to make it permanant.

I have carefully followed the installation instructions but can not get the function to select a template for the website. This is located in the admin screen. All other functions seem to work except this one. After clicking a button called "continue" the screen clear except for the function menu. It is supposed to give you a list of available templates, and if you select one it will give you a preview, and then you can apply it to your website.

I am hoping some one can give me a couple of ideas on how to fix this. The program demo at the owners web site makes the program look real slick, and it is not overly expensive if you decide to purchase it.

Thanks
