I’m a green tomato in the SME community soup, and are amazed of the work that you guys have put into such a well made distro, it is exactly the thing I needed to get my feet wet in the Linux universe. That it was possible to set up a server that easy! And at the same time be able to utilize an old machine of mine was a great plus to begin my journey.

After having messed about some time, getting to know how things work and adding some contribs I started looking at the server-manager and how the template system works. Even though it seems like a good way to manage things at certain points, it gives me a great headache at times and I get the feeling that total control is not possible (for me at least) to manage layout and design the way I want.

Searching the site I could not find much info (sorry if I missed it), other than the documentation and was wondering if there is anyone who wants to share some tips and tricks on how they have set things up? And if anyone would be willing to share some screenshots of their custom server-manager and user-manager interfaces? Maybe this could be a good way to inspire those whom find interest in the field of the web-GUI development of their server.

why do you want to change the GUI of your server.
if everythings is configured and the machine is working well, you hopefully don't see the server-manager very often.

I suppose for me I see it as a good way to learn new things and also to get a more personal touch and behaviour of the interface. Another thing is that putting things in an organized order (of some sort) that fits the person/group, or the choice of being able to, should hopefully optimize time spend administrating the server and generating possible user friendly sites. Of course at this point it is basically for the joy of it, but maybe later, who knows, there may come a need to set up a server somewhere and possible user demands for how things should behave.

Anyways, I was just asking in case someone might have made some customisation, am masters of handling the template system and would not mind sharing a few tips and tricks for a poor newbie
