How to I enable the internal (ie included with sme6) dyndns client?  I can install DDCLIENT, but hate to do it if the functionality is already there in SME.  I do not have two netowrk cards, so I opted for the server only config.

Thanks guys!
Wes

Serveronly mode is not designed to be connected directly to the internet. Don't use it that way. Buy a second NIC, and configure in server-gateway mode. You'll then see the option for dyndns.

If you are using server only mode, I'd assume that another firewall present in front of SME(if not, put one on immediately). Activate ddns service on that front firewall.

Ahh, one of the problems of email... The details that get left out.... I am behind a firewall. ;-) I *am* superstitious about using the SAME box for firewall as server... if they hack the firewall, they've got your server too... soooo...  back to the original question....

my router does not support a DDNS fuction, I'd like to implement it in the sme server only mode.  How do I turn it on?

Hi!

Try
http://e-smith.dyndns.org/filessme6/rpms/sme-ddclient-2.0-1.noarch.rpm

Works for me (behind firewall in Server Only mode)
