Topic: Server-Gateway benefits over NetGear?

Currently, I have a server-only SME behind a NetGear Firewall (FVM318). I like the easy-to-config VPN capabilities of the NetGear for point-point connections with dynamic dns (something not easily achieved on SME).

Is there any benefit to change the SME config to server-gateway? Is there any firewall benefit over the NetGear?

No benefits. Just make sure that only ports needed from Internet are open and forwarded to SME.
