Dear Sirs,
we are using e-smith for several years now and the running verison is 6.01
There are several printer queues attached (TCPIP), named
hplj4100
ricohcl3000dn
I receive a lot of error messages like:
[Tue Jan 11 11:39:39 2005] [error] [client 192.168.223.46] File does not exist: /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/html/ricohcl3000d
[Tue Jan 11 12:05:13 2005] [error] [client 192.168.223.39] File does not exist: /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/html/hplj410
where the last character is lost and therefore the file is not there. I created files with the "correct" names (hplj4100, ricohcl3000dn) in ther primary/html folder.
So my question: who is looking for these files? (windows PCs of course)
Why?
Why with crippled names?
PS:
A similar crippling of names occures with samba shares
Thanks in advance
Jo
